Rihanna has premiered her new single Diamonds.
The We Found Love star revealed the first cut from her seventh studio album across the world on radio at 1pm BST today (26th September).
The track has been penned by Sia – who has writing credits on David Guetta’s Titanium and Flo Rida’s Wild Ones – and has been produced by Benny Blanco.
RiRi previously posted lyrics to Diamonds on her official website, which sees the 24-year old sing: “Find light in the beautiful sea/ I choose to be happy/ You and I, you and I/ We’re like diamonds in the sky.”
The chorus centres around the hook: “So shine bright, tonight you and I/ We’re like beautiful diamonds in the sky/ Eye to eye, so alive/ We’re like beautiful diamonds in the sky.”
Earlier this week, Rihanna teased her new album, posting a link to http://Rihanna7.com, with the website showing an ‘R’ made up of handwritten words and phrases that appear to hold significance for the singer.
Included are phrases such as ‘Heart Break’ and ‘What’s love without a tragedy?’, suggesting the LP may touch upon experiences from her personal life.
